How it all began

We have chosen Montenegro as the destination for our wedding, a place that holds special significance for us. It is where Denis grew up, and where Ariel spent many of her childhood summers.

Denis, a carefree beach enthusiast, hails from the coastal town of Bar. In contrast, Ariel, a spirited mountain dweller, has roots in the picturesque areas of Plav and Gusinje.

Denis, the son of Ahmet and Jasmina Alibegovic, and Ariel, the daughter of Sead and Mensija Deljanin, were brought together through a mutual connection. Although separated by distance—Denis residing in Colorado and Ariel in New York City — they established a meaningful bond through lengthy FaceTime calls. This modern love story quickly blossomed, culminating in Ariel booking a flight to Colorado. Upon her arrival, Denis welcomed her at the airport, presenting her with roses and a sign displaying her name. During the weekend, they enjoyed skiing, explored the natural beauty of Colorado Springs, wandered the streets of Denver, and drove through a snowstorm. Denis found himself making regular trips to JFK and soon moved to NYC. They went to Montauk, known as the “End of the World,” where he proposed, marking a new beginning in their journey together.

Now a year later, we're best friends, true loves, and partners in life.
